"Throughout my life, I have moved around the country with my family living in Florida, Maryland, Washington, North Carolina, Illinois, Alabama and now Utah. My career as an artist began coloring in coloring books during childhood. Starting from humble beginnings and after years of practice, I honed in on my artistic abilities in a number of different mediums: pencil, pen and ink, acrylic paint, jewelry making, mixed-media, paper arts, and even bookmaking.
After high school, I attended the Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago and graduated with a degree in Visual Communications (an expanded degree in graphic design). I have been lucky enough to work in my field while finishing college and after graduation. During my career as a graphic designer, I have had the unique opportunity to work with licensors such as MLB, Disney, Dreamworks, and even Elvis Presley Enterprises. In addition, I've worked on promotional items for radio stations, song writers, hunting companies, universities, and candy companies. I have over a decade of experience in the field of graphic design, web design, publication, illustration, photography, marketing and advertising. I'm always looking to take on new challenges, and build up my arsenal of artistic abilities.
Throughout my fine art career, I have displayed my art in Cedar City, UT, at juried exhibits Pensacola, FL and Mobile, AL, as well as through solo exhibits at several galleries along the Gulf Coast. I have participated in Gulf Coast art festivals and my art was featured in Mobile Bay magazine in 2011.
A graphic designer by trade and fine artist by passion, I also love archaeology and art history. I donated my skills as an illustrator to an archaeological research center in Colorado and an archaeological center in the Caribbean.
In my free time, I enjoy playing with my dogs, refinishing furniture, rockhounding, thrift shopping, making jewelry, and traveling."
